Anyone using these units with zencore or what ever it is called

I still don’t fully get it after looking at the Roland site. Is it a down load samples/tones for your unit?

How does it work after your subscription runs out? If you already have the tone do you just lose access to redownloading it ? How does that differ from ‘lifetime keys’?

How much are lifetime keys, seems to be hidden pricing till you sign up.

Sorry for all the questions but watched some videos and it’s still very confusing, apart from the fact it’s a pay sub model.

Keep on posting your tracks here please !!!

Haven’t tried registering it. All the documentation still looks sealed so its probably fine.

just a random thought.
after buying some analog mono synths, i love my 707 even more.
because since 1.30 it can be used as effect processor for up to 4 mono inputs (or 2 stereo, or 2 mono + 1 stereo).
so, with 707 i don’t need to buy extra pedals/FX boxes (unless something really special/uncommon, e.g. EHX Ravish Sitar :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)
this is how 707 saves me some money and space.

also, i thought about buying 101 for a long time, but i won’t have benefits from it, since other boxes will need some FX anyway, which will take about the same space in the backpack and extra money.

Do these 4 mono inputs take up 4 tracks on the 707 or can they go straight to fx leaving all 8 tracks available?

yes, they take extra tracks, up to 4 tracks in case of 4 mono inputs.
but there is certain logic in this, since MIDI of those tracks can be used to sequence external gear – either notes and/or performance parameters automation.

pretty convenient for use with machines like IK Uno Synth or DSI Tetra that have only 16 steps of internal sequencer per patch.

So 2 stereo inputs into the 707 takes only 2 tracks?
I have the skulpt that takes the space in my MX1 mixer that can be free for something else.

yes. see Audio Insert setting for details.

Thanks!

New 707 owner with a Next Clip question, running 1.50. I can get Next Clip working fine, and combined with varying step lengths it seems like quite a powerful feature, especially for semi-generative tracks.

But! I’m finding that when the next clip is triggered, it cuts off all sound from the previous clip. This happens on drum and tone tracks, so if I have a note with long release or a cymbal on step 16 of clip 1, and set that to move to clip 2, clip 2 will start in complete silence. This also happens if I just set clip1 to be its own next clip.

This doesn’t seem like desirable behaviour to me, and it only happens with Next Clip - if I manually change clips, the previous clip’s sounds play out as expected.

Is it a bug, or a feature I’m not understanding? Or am I missing some setting that can help? The manual isn’t much use, and all the videos I’ve watched (including Roland’s) demonstrate it with short sounds that don’t sustain, so I don’t have a clue if this is normal. But as I say, it doesn’t feel right to me…

To replicate quickly, load a drum track on clip 1, put a long sound like a crash on step 16, and set the clip to Next Clip: Clip 1. You should find that the sound is cut off abruptly when you play the pattern. But if you set the clip back to Next Clip: Stay, the sound behaves normally.

Any insight much appreciated!

Yes confirmed. It seems like a bug. It doesn’t cut off sounds when changing scenes.

If you are in the drum track step sequencer and place a step, he sets the velocity to 47 for me. That means I have to edit every single step.
Is there a way to set the standard velocity to 100?
