Midi Ext 1 playing on M1 with a BD on slot 1 : playing and recording in piano roll & chromatic ==> ok
but when saving to Row 0 in grid then loading Row 1 (blank one) and go back to load Row 0 where Ext is recording ==> Freeze or reboot each time

Thanks for the swift fix and reply! Works like a charm now.

I got a follow-up question to the chromatic page, I can’t for the life of me figure out how I use the chromatic polyphonic function on the MD itself, it only seems to work on the external midi tracks. I could do it before the update.

Is there a way to switch between MD and MI that I’m missing?

  1. Select the poly voices from the POLYPHONY menu.
  2. Configure the machines on your MD for each track. (copy paste from one to the other)
  3. Re-enter the chromatic page to resync the updated kit.
  4. The active track in chromatic mode must be one of the poly tracks in order for them to play polyphonically.

Also, On the MegaCommand:

Global Settings -> Machinedrum -> CTRL CHAN

Make sure this is set to INT for internal control.

Sorry…
It seems midi channel do not change on MC side when changing channel on keystep.
the note appears on oled keys in chromatic but do not sound, and no changing midi channel.

There are 6 Ext Seq tracks.
The MIDI Channels for each track default to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 respectively.

If you transmit on channel 1, track 01 should be automatically selected.
If you transmit on channel 4, track 04 should be automatically selected

You can change the MIDI Channel for each track on the PianoRoll page (this option is not available on chromatic page yet)

Also, MIDI Channel is retained along with the track data when saving to grid.

When i switch on MC directly going to piano Roll ==> playing & changing midi Channel between Ch. & Ch.2 behavior ok.
Then going to Grid, load Row 0, going to Piano roll ==> Midi Ch1 or 2 do not play, are not detected.

Ah, this is likely because in the previous version (before the hotfix) the track data was not saved correctly.

Can you clear those slots and try again. After clearing. restart the MC so that the EXT Tracks have a clean state. (and no bad data from the old save)

I’ve been trying with clearing all slots before recording a BD on slot 1, then Midi Ch.1 ==> playing ok but then when i loaded the row in the grid the MC Reboot without savint the piano roll part…
