For sure something has happened, it looks like MS is not a big revenue generator for Elektron, so the battery has not been a priority, whereas OT AE and Black Analog have been
At the time when Roland establish mini, Elektron should have pushed the battery product, and innovated, in the direction of the portable concept.
For sure, it looks like a huge missed opportunity.
Not gonna complain, though, you can easily have it powered by usb battery with a 5$ usb amazon cable…
For some time M:S helped me create while I was away from my studio because of the lockdown, so I am cool with the use I got from it.
It will be a present to my son down the line as I have close to no use for it anymore with DT and OT handy…

The portable battery vein was forgotten and MK2 came out
maybe they figured the battery was less of a priority now that everyone’s basically stuck at home anyway…?

It’s been almost 2 years since we were told a battery handle pack was coming soon. I think we should have an anniversary party of sorts. Who’s bringing the dip?

This is probably the main reason the handle has been delayed. It would be cool for the handle / kickstand ability. I wonder if they just went back to the drawing board to try to make the handle more commercially viable (better battery option, lower cost, etc.). It’s a tough product to get right.

I like the idea. It will be like an annual Burning Man. People will build giant battery handles that they worship, live in, etc. The scene will be crazy wild - imagine tens of synth enthusiasts together in one spot. Who knows what can happen!
