MPC Thread : MPC Live - MPC X - MPC One (Part 2)

You can sync them pretty effectively by converting Hz to BPM, especially combined with the reset option. Pretty sure they’d be fine randomising a couple of bars of hits. We just need the next Force update to find out.

I just hope they add macros to MPC, I let my force go because I love MPC song mode and don’t like the Force arranger, but I miss macros. So powerful.

Everyone should watch this.

All new features that everyone gets plus saves you time trying to figure them out yourself.

Hello,

Still unable to obtain a pure sine wave from OPx4 which is strange for a FM instrument. Did somebody success ?

I heard on the grapevine that Akai are working on fixing the clipping/popping bug when using samples in mono/choke modes. So that’s good news :+1: :crossed_fingers:

Good to hear. I really hope they fix all the bugs from this version before working on a new major version.

My MPC Live 2 Retro is arriving on my door step today. Just so I’m aware, what bugs are you seeing right now?
I see mention of a clipping/popping with choke…that’s a bummer, hopefully will be fixed soon.

Chopping glitches are the main ones I have come up against (see my previous post).

There’s a bug report forum here you can check

Try loading up the “init” preset and disable all of the mod slots…

Finally managed to check this out. Great demo!

You could do so much with this. I’m not using the drum synth even though I like it a lot, since pad mutes don’t work on plugins. But it looks like you could get pad mutes with this! = good times

ah okay. Hopefully they address that soon. I may start off with 2.10 just to be safe

I had issues with glitchy note on behaviour, but remade the drum program and haven’t had any issues since.

You’ll be fine.

People exaggerate issues vastly.

Ha, yeah, seems plausible.
It looks like Akai put out 2 addendums already so it seems they are addressing some issues.

Congratulations!! I really think that is the best one, it isn’t the most expensive, but I think it really transcends price, and is the best value just because it is a perfect mix of being convenient and just so freaking sexy… I really love mine, I think it is the very best groovebox, drum sampler, brain thing there is at any price!!

Already tried but for me this is not a pure sine yet. There is still a kind of distortion at release phase.

Sounds more like a problem with env than with osc/op I would say…

I’ve been looking at one for some time. In fact I almost got the MPC live mk1 instead of my Octatrack but decided to stay in the Elektron world with my A4 and AR.
However, just the few hours I’ve spent with it today have been quite impressive. I do well working with different platforms to spark creativity and its so very different than Elektron workflow that I love it!
My Dark Trinity is still my main rig but for traveling and sampling my synths, this thing is wicked!!

i switched from Blackbox to MPC One and while the learning curve is a MFer, agree that putting the time in with the (often daft) workflow is constantly rewarding. it is deep
