New email about Overbridge 1.1___AU/Other DAWs?

Ordered an AR today!

Ok, I’ve been really really good and haven’t complained on the internet in a long time but…
I really really need the “recording of retrigs” in the RYTM. Really hoping that comes with the next update.

I just ordered mine today and already know I’ll be needing that. Always been kind of baffled by its omission. I imagine I’ll be using the OT a lot for hi-hats…

You load the self-same VST AU in a given host - it will be exactly the same experience where possible obviously, so essentially the answer is yes although Live VST support may be ahead of the curve for a bit

If possible, please also test with zillamatic’s song that the sample tuning is correct and that the pad lights are as responsive as in 1.02 and in sync with rhythm. Check the sample loading times when loading a project too. Overbridge fw made this much slower.

Yes!
Sample chains are out of whack since OB too.

How so? I have not noticed sample chain issues. Sometimes things load slowly, but that’s about it.

Already on it!

Hi All

I use Cubase 8 Pro, and have just purchased Ableton Live.

I know the Ableton version is now out of Beta, but I’ve no idea whether updating Overbridge to the newest version (1.0) will allow me to use it in both Ableton and Cubase.

Any ideas?

And will the 1.10 update address the alternate DAWs still being in beta issue?

Magnificent products overall, btw. I love my A4 and RYTM.

I don’t mean this to sound antagonistic, but probably will…

I wonder what the spread of daws is among Elektron users? Surely we Logic/AU users would be a reasonable percentage. Should we have seen a little of OB by now?

I know, I know, it’s coming, and quite frankly I’m in no major rush anyway, don’t even really need it the silly thing, but still, WHERE’S THE LOVE ELEKTRON? I know you love us, but LOVE US MORE!

Don’t know where I’m going with this, is it a rant? Er, keep up the good work Elektron, seriously, it’s all good really. My pills, has anyone seen my pills?

A little more feedback about the non-Ableton release would go a long way, people have been asking in a lot of threads without any meaningful comment from Elektron.

Good decision!!!

Oh, but overall, being as OB is basically a free addition making two of my hardware boxes become even more powerful, I’m more than happy to wait a little longer.

Can’t complain. Great products, and great concept. Will take a long while to get right, but I’m sure it’ll be worth it.

Yeah man! I am so hyped that we are going to be able to just fire any audio into the signal path. I take it that this is going to be going through the digital sample section rather than the analog, hopefully meaning we may have access to the bitcrusher too. Though tbh it wont matter. Having that filter and overdrive at my disposal for everything is so cool. I am defo feeling the love Elektron!

ya, I’ve been thinking a bit too much lately about how this OB update will give me an automatable bastard 8 ch analog mixer (without the summing, but still!) ITB. A very welcome addition! :+1:

erm, wait. I just thought or replacing the entire AR’s sample engine section with my DAW. You know, like running an instance of NI Kontakt or u-he Zebra2 for every track? and being able to layer the analog engines with those?? I think I need my meds. like, right now.

They would love you more if you bought the $121 sweatshirt from their store

Obviously it is hard to tell as the update isn’t available yet but as there is spoken about a supertight sync through overbridge I was wondering whether this means that my ar and a4 will be able to send this supertight sync out of the Midi socket in Form of a clock signal.
Right now I am using the octatrack to generate the main clock which is then spread to the other machines including live.
If there was a supertight sync through overbridge i am wondering how the other gear would/could benefit of it or if there might be timing issues between the supertight synced ar and a4 and Everything Else.
