Novation Circuit Rhythm and Circuit Tracks

Damn these work meetings. I want to watch

And now Calc is sampling into it, and jamming it as well.

That was a cool sneak preview. Official announcement tomorrow, and Calc will be doing a deep dive on Wednesday.

It looks really dope, in a SP kind of way! Like, they have corrected everything that was missing on the recent SPs.

Edit: pretty sure that the special guest they mentionned will be Dibiase.

Huge Circuit fan

Can’t wait for the rhythm

gives me way more deluge vibes than sp-303/404 vibes so far

at least you can resample those performance FX, unlike the polyend tracker :grimacing:

Yeah, and you can also sample while the track is playing, which I am all about.

Yeah, same! And you can live slice THEN change what sample is sliced, which sounds dope. And you can put trigs for an empty slot THEN sample in the slot which is kinda an OT trick. I also dig the fact that you can customize the grid fxs.

Sure, it won’t be a DT / OT killer, but it looks like it could be mad fun and super efficient in a live setup. Like, Tracks + Rhythm + a small tweakable synth, and boom, off to the race.

yeah no hard feelings but I can tell even from youtube that it doesn’t have the quality of sound that the digitakt does (and yes I understand the importance of the quality of samples you put in it)… but that’s not a deal breaker at all… the most important thing so far for me is that I haven’t got circuit vibes from it , it’s like the dressing is strong enough so that I do not taste the beets in the salad

but 1990 zł converts into $500 bucks in USduckets… F-that!

I’m not particularly interested in the new device, but that was interesting to watch. I wonder to what extent the other participants knew what was about to happen, and to what extent the company did. I can’t imagine something similar happening with an Elektron release.

The Circuit Tracks is $399 here in the US (retail is $499, but list price is $399 at every store), and I would guess Rhythm price is is going to be right around that. Their builds seem pretty similar, and their feature sets balance each other out for the most part. So price-wise, it wouldn’t make sense to make one drastically more expensive than the other.

hope not, cause I wouldn’t even trade my model samples for one of those, but I’ll give it a try if it’s priced well…
I am def not feeling the macro knob positioning though… give me flashbacks, luckily only mild ones

Initial impression - does what was expected.
The real-time fx are a bit like pocket operators / Roland scatter

Ricky demo put me off though he filled it with hihats ( is trap still going ? )
Seemed like there is access to lots of samples (128)
Slice mode is 4,8,16 slices , they can be tweaked in terms of start/end …

Still watching , haven’t noticed if it stretches audio to match tempo or and key detection

Sounded like the performance fx were affected the master out / all sounds

Sequencer is monophonic but does send out same midi note … 8 seq tracks

I think that I’m going to wind up getting one of these in a few weeks or months after the first wave of returns. Don’t know how thrilled I am about just having to remember what colors mean like that, but it seems pretty damn capable. It’s like a beefed up PO33 that can play with the rest of your gear. I’m into it.

Looks like the “lazy chops” method on Akai Force with regards to sampling audio in. Will wait for more details.

FINALLY! Someone else who does not like Beets.

At least that’s what I’m inferring from your post :crazy_face::crazy_face:

I just wanted to chime in with my hot take. Beets are delicious. I even have a bottle of beet juice in the fridge. Drink beets to make great beats, that’s what I say

are you kidding, I don’t know what’s up with all these beetlovers, if it wasn’t for beets there would be peace on earth already well… maybe not peace on earth but then at least my only arch villain would be mayonnaise!! :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:
