it’s gotta have transient slicing, gotta feel better than the model samples as far as workflow, have good FX, and decidedly not feel like a circuit for me not to cringe.
Protip: if you don’t like Circuit, don’t buy a Circuit.
Q-tip, don’t stick one in your ear
the exception to the rule
Elektrons mama said knock you out…
I kid I kid…
no but really… mama said it
Do we reckon they’ll drop the midi tracks then? I’m concerned I see that happening as if they do, I’ll probably lose interest. And for someone with more brain power, what’s the point of midi out if they do?
This will never happen, you have nothing to worry about.
Thanks for putting me at ease! I’ve been so excited for this since December and now I’m getting worried
Oh haha ooops I thought I was in the Digitakt 1.30 thread talking about the Digitakt MIDI tracks, I have no idea about MIDI tracks on these Circuit devices dude sorry!
And there goes my hope again
If it doesn’t have dedicated MIDI tracks, I’m going to go ahead and guess that some or all of the internal tracks can double as MIDI tracks like on the Models.
That’s my hope
The Circuit Tracks can send MIDI from the 2 synth tracks, the 2 MIDI tracks, and the Drum tracks. The Drum tracks share the same MIDI channel though. So it would have 5 MIDI tracks in total to sequence external gear. What I like the most is that on the MIDI tracks you have 8 CC templates to choose from rapidly when playing. On the Digis you have only 1 CC mapping template per track, so to do the same you have to assign the same channel to many tracks.
Hang on, so you get the 8 parameters to work with and can jump back and forth between some values that you set ahead of time on the fly as opposed to parameter locking them on set steps? That’s intriguing. One of my favorite little tricks is using the fill function to toggle back and forth between two sets of values. It’d be dope to be able to do that between several states.
When you change CC templates on the Circuit nothing is sent to the out unless you touch the encoders or there is an automation. If you automate any of them what happens is that the encoder sends a different CC when you change the template, thats it. Hope I was clear!
Anyone else excited for tomorrow? Feel like a kid on Christmas Eve
I am actually. I was never interested in the original circuit or the new synth version but I’m really curious about this one. If it has 8 identical tracks of sample abuse and decent FX then it could be loads of fun! And with a rechargeable battery if I’m not mistaken?!
will probably be excited after reading the manual.
Was just watching the live stream Circuit Tracks Jam, and Ricky was about to get started on his jam, but then busted out the Circuit Rhythm instead.
