There isn’t any. Novation announced the date on Instagram and a couple of Youtubers said they;re working on videos
Here we go, time to party.
Really looking forward to complaining about some minor limitation this has that makes me hug my OT. Totally based.
But seriously, should be a great modern tool for many an SP-lover.
I’m quite curious about the Circuit Rhythm. I never had a Circuit Tracks because I didn’t like the 2+2 tracks architecture and I was not blown away by the synth engine demos that I heard.
I’m curious to see if this will improve on some of the issues I had with the M:S. That box was so close to perfect for me but a few small niggles meant I let it go. If this thing has some useful master FX, reasonable battery life and can do similar hands-on fun like Elektron boxes then I’ll be very tempted.
People are hyped for this one, but I have a hard time seeing how it will makes an impact vs. SPs (the SP crowd are die hard fans of their gear), M:S (sure, it’s a sample player, not a sampler, but it’s damn good at hands on fun and there’s a lot you can do with it), MC101 and if you lightly go up a tier, used DT and MPCOne. I mean: look at the labelling under the knobs, it doesn’t look like it will provide much sound sculpting / sampling power.
It’s a fair point but it isn’t always as simple as the feature list = enjoyability. On paper the DT isn’t very powerful but it’s widely loved because it’s got an immediacy and a fun factor that isn’t reflected in the spec sheet.
Anyway it’ll be fun to see what they’ve come up with. We live in an age of plenty for these relatively affordable little boxes so if it doesn’t work out then another one will be along shortly!
Yeah sure, if it’s at least as fun as the OG / Tracks, it will be a winner. But I don’t know, there’s something that annoys me with this Rhythm that I can’t pinpoint for now. I wish I will be proven wrong!
I’m just wondering if the sequencing is the same feel/ workflow of the original circuit, cause there is no way subjectively speaking of course that that is more fun than the model samples or digitakt sequencing… but if novation were bold enough to scrap that old workflow and give it something different I would be very pleasantly surprised…
I know it’s late in the game, but I’m hoping for lasers.
if it doesn’t sound exactly like the synsonic drums forget it
Love my tracks. Been using just one track on the Tracks and live sampling that track into my SP-16 or into audio clips on the Force.
Delete the track on the Tracks, make a new sequence, live sample that into my sequencer.
Repeat. And repeat until I have all my parts for a track.
Rad part about both those samplers is you can export the tracks as stems.
Can’t what for the rhythm
Have I missed anything ? It looks like a video to subtly promote the fact that the Nova synth engine in the Circuit Tracks can be used for a broader range of music genres than we think…
But no packs whatsoever…
Actually many packs are not translated from OG Circuit to the Circuit Tracks…For now at least.
There’s a new pack in Components, apparently.
Yup, very badly advertised but there is one. My bad.
It is actually a good one.
Might keep that little beast a little more then
With the announcement only days away now, what’s everyone’s make or break features for this?
For me I need to be able to sequence externally and use this thing as a brain for my setup as well as my sampler.
What does it mean to both sequence it externally AND have it be the brain?
Very good question, in hindsight I think I was just elaborating to myself
