Novation Circuit Rhythm and Circuit Tracks

You only need a 1GB card.

I have read it was 900mb a pack somewhere. it seams
logical that M:S is 1GB and has all those samples.
I returned my Rhythm due to low output and sample management and other things, but was really a fun thing.

Nah, you can store 31 extra packs on your micro sd card. And it’s the same amount of packs with the same hard limit on sample time whether you’ve got a 1 gb card or a 32 gb card. I think the packs top out at around 30 mb.

ha, ok, a pity these numbers on todays world, I mean 30 mb internal memory? why not chunk 1 GB
in there.

But at least you can buy cheap cards and swap them.

Why not? Cause there’s really no need.

Personally I’m glad the storage isn’t endless, as I prefer some limitations or I feel overwhelmed.

Yes I really liked the software because it is simple and at the same time useful to setup things fast.
and I also think less is better at the end. but with sd cards and pc is in fact as large as you really need.

Is it possible to power another synth from the circuit tracks USB port? Send midi through the USB at the same time?

When fully charged (left plugged in overnight, and the green light on the power button stopped illuminating) the last bar on my battery indicator on power on is still unlit, is this normal behaviour?

Maybe it takes a few cycles to calibrate the battery indicator to be accurate?

On the OP-1 the battery indicator was notoriously inaccurate and on some laptops you need to fully discharge and then fully charge to calibrate the battery indicator… give it some time.

Will try this, good shout. Battery life does seem decent so hopefully it’s a calibration thing.

Hello :wave:t2:

Ambient jam on the Circuit Rhythm. Made as an entry for the Hardware Jams Weekend Challenge.

Not my usual style or genre of choice, but was really fun to make nonetheless.

Cool jam! I think the Circuit Rhythm is really well suited to this type of music. Where was that contest hosted?

Novation have confirmed that the last bar on the battery indicator is always unlit for fully charged.

This is different to the manual:

Can someone else just confirm that this is correct? Seems very odd to me.

Thank you. Yeah the sequencer does really lend itself to glitchy ambient stuff I think.

It’s over on a facebook group called Hardware Jams. They do a weekend challenge every week, and it’s a really good community. They have recently launched a new youtube channel, also called Hardware Jams.

I can confirm, mine does the same, not all pads light up when fully charged

I don’t know y’all. Mine has the full thing.

How odd, considering Novation told me that these bars aren’t lit up when fully charged. I’ll touch base with them again. I’m a bit OCD when it comes to bugs / flaws, I can’t stand my gear having issues haha.

Just charged mine up tonight and I get the full display.

Heard from Novation again, it would appear that 12 pads lit means totally full and if you get 10 pads lit it is really full and you shouldn’t worry if you don’t get 12 pads. Not particularly impressed with the response tbh but apart from that, loving this device!

Yeah that’s not a great explanation, but in my experience, Novation Support are really good.

Same, really digging the immediacy of the machine. Never fails to put a smile on my face.
