Wise words
Agreed
I don’t know if it’s been mentioned but… has it been considered / speculated that maybe the 4 drum tracks on Circuit Tracks are synthesis-based rather than samples? would make sense, considering the disctintion between the two… and imho would make it a lot more interesting as a pair, as well as a competitor to similarly-priced machines
I like where this is going.
subjectivity noted but I’ve never heard anything from a circuit that I liked and I’m a previous owner, can anyone recommend any clips of the circuit that they think represent it’s quality, besides Calc’s I’ve heard all of his already?
thanks for that, I wonder if this is the kind of sound that is really selling the circuit to people though… I def like this artist aesthetics
I just got an email from Novation, encouraging me to sign up and attend the NAMM Believe in Music Week.
Coincidence? (I mean, clearly, it is not a coincidence.)
I’m really looking forward to hearing more about the rhythm.
Definitely coincidence. I see no way the company would let a product leak just a couple weeks before announcing it.
Had a 202 sampler long ago. Have a feeling the editing process of samples will be similar to that. (No screen) Not too bad of a process. It does cause you to use your ears more, which isn’t all too bad.
202/303/404 was a lot of fun trimming samples by ear and often led you you in a different direction. However, the lack of a decent sequencer did itself no favors.
I wonder this also… I kind of have the feeling circuit tracks is just an updated shell to the old circuit maybe with some new firmware that can also be loaded on the old one. A bit like the afx bass station 2. I could be wrong but I kind of doubt they would launch a new VA engine on a groovebox.
Novation have been reworking the Nova engine for 2 decades now. The synth in it will definitely be Nova at it’s core.
I sincerely hope it’s nothing like the circuit
Does your tuner have a screen?
nope, back in the day, it had some LEDs, nowadays I tune to a synth playing a note.
Why would they label the knobs with specific functions if they were just Nova synth macros like before?
must have been a pretty strange tuner. “you’re close to a pitch we aren’t gonna tell ya which one but you’ll figure it out” thank god it doesn’t have over 100 functions.
Does not need to show you any pitch!
In Germany you could have just picked up the phone. The tone, that „played“ waiting for you to dial was a 440Hz also.
