Science Lab Challenge, February 2015

My submission, made with the AR: https://soundcloud.com/aegisreflector/ar-aegisreflector-sandman

Such a fun contest!

This is great.
Everyone is making cool stuff in this challenge!

Hereā€™s mine with the OT. Wanted lots of LFO action & different cycling lengths.
This is what I ended up with.

Some amazing contributions on this thread!!! Elektron records 2nd release should be this little lot

My sub:

Some cracking entries on here, scary really.

A tidy little seventeen hour excursion into the nature of sound, human and machine. Easy.

The elektronautical mileage per elektronsample is really quite staggering with these machines.

Indeed. Really great.

Wow! very good!

Your not f***in kidding. I am really glad I refrained from listening to these until I had pretty much finished my track and submitted it, otherwise I probably wouldnā€™t have bothered starting. Some absolutely astounding stuff.
Presumably there are others too who havenā€™t posted in the thread, the full soundcloud list when compiled is going to be pretty intense.

Yep!
Think sharing sysex/project files once the comp has finished is gonna be invaluable.
Fantastic Sciencelab, like the EU days

Yes! excellent use of single cycle waves

Yeah everything ive heard so far is baller. I cant wait for a compiled list so i dont have to dig through this thread.

^ whaā€¦

PongFu just spoiled the ā€˜competitionā€™, wtf, i was gonna to rustle sommink up tonight , why bother ā€¦ except, i am utterly convinced the winner will be using an AR, itā€™s obvious ! anyway, besides the masterful programming and delicate tune, i am utterly astonished that those synth lines couldā€™ve come out of the OT, let alone that sample, sublime :+1:

my other theory is that someone on warp has an alter-ego :alien:

Fantastic composition and sound design. Funky as hell too. [/quote]
Haha Big Thanksā€¦Would love to take credit for the FuNk but its all about Hector
Got my AR last week and super impressed how the sample engine sounds through the analog filterā€¦already my favourite bit of studio gear.
Its definitely got me thinking how cool it would be to be able to load single cycle waveforms into the A4ā€¦would add a totally different dimension.
Loving all the submissionsā€¦looking forward to seeing them hit soundcloud!! :+1:

I kinda wish they had stipulated that all sysex/projects were required for every track (not just the winners), there should be lots to learn from all of this, some of the synth riff stuff has mashed my head in. Smart folks.
