Ya I remember that article. Pissed parents OFF!

And the article about the bounty on some kid that trash talked the mag. They offered money or something I can’t remember, different values for different levels of assault.
Brutal!

Rocco was always ahead of the game. Didn’t like him, but that guy knew the business.

just cruised down a suburban hill pretending I was neil blender, on this:

Been trying to get back out on my board lately. A while back I decided that I was gonna try a bigger deck (7.75 to 8.5) an damn is it a lot more effort to lift off the ground or I am just way out of shape haha pushing 40 this year an my body aint so flexible anymore. Yoga maybe?
Gonna persevere with it tho - I just can’t justify buying a new deck and then trucks that will fit that.

Found this old photo. Look at the concave on that baby, must be circa '88 and I would be 7. must have been pretty determined to get that thing in the air, worn out the wood where there should be grip tape. UK peeps will remember the dreaded turbo II hahaha

Havent posted in a while, not been skating enough this year, but it was rainy so I skated my garage ramps today, tried to post a clip but it was too big for the forum.

This guy made a skate tutorial for adults, and he’s so chill and relaxed that I went and ordered a cruiser. I’m gonna learn how to skate at 34, preferably without killing myself

Also ordred a small skateboard for my 2.5 year old girl so we have another activity to bond over (if it happens to be her thing).

Anyone into dancing? Seems to be peak skateboard to me combining the finesse and elegance pioneered by Rodney Mullen with the chill of longboard cruising.

Ray barbee, that’s a blast from the past. Loved his skating. Must remember to give this a watch

I don’t post music on my IG. Just random skate clips of old and young people skating

I skimmed the video.
I guess it’s nice that this kind of resource is available. If it gives you more confidence you should definitely watch it. mostly you just gotta get out there and ride.
I do think the foot dominance “push” test is legit.
I’ve had my share of skateboards. Different shapes and styles - ever since the movie back to the future.
In college, It was all about the long board and “bombing” hills.
At the moment, my favorite cruiser and (not too steep) bomber deck is the 22" Penny board that bought for my son. my longboard is collecting dust.
I think longboard dancing is super-fun to watch, but I think I missed that boat.

Wow, RIP Jon Comer. :hearts: He was so rad and was following me on Instagram - such a nice bloke and massive fan (obviously) of Jeff Phillips (who I got to meet years ago).

Technically, that’s a “Joeless one” (Joe Lopes trick).

Yeah Jon was the BEST!
I saw him 2 weeks before he died at 4DWN.
Hadn’t seen him since JPSP.
Glad I got one last hug
