SW DEALS : Software on Sale

Thanks, have been waiting for this sale. Apparently you’ll get Version 2 for free on top when it’s released if you purchase during the BF sale.

Thanks, I’ll give it a proper look

This is going to be amazing to have always-on-hand as a plug-in. The box just sounds good no matter what.

Full Bucket just dropped his own new string machine as well, an emulation of the rare vintage Korg PE-2000 . Free, as always.

Balck Friday @ Infinitesamples :

https://www.infinitesamples.com/

10% additional discount for 50 firsts users ( 49 at least :innocent: ) with the code : INFINITELOVE

can’t bring myself to give them any more money when the really excellent software they made just sits there unattended badly needing updates that seem to never come.

for what it’s worth, i didn’t do my research before buying a few waves plugins way back. at least at the time, their activation and usage limitations were annoying, and i vowed not to look at them again. they do have some nice stuff; just check the terms first.

+1 to that. Their plugins are definitely nice, but the awful upgrade/reinstall/authorise path has made me ditch everything of theirs that I bought. Other companies offer similar levels of quality without the horrible practises.

Unless they have changed their ways, it’s not worth it. And at this point, their sales feel more like a scam. Not saying their plug-ins aren’t good, but no-one is buying their bundles for hundreds, even thousands of dollars anymore. So the price reductions seem ingenious.

Add on to that the ilok requirement, update plans and pricing, I would never buy a waves product again.

All this is said without me checking if they have totally changed the way they handle updates and drm in the last few years

I’m thinking of getting Syntorial and Building Blocks (the same BF2022 code works for building blocks 1 & 2 as well; Reg $90 … Sale $35).

How often does Arturia do sales like the one going on right now? Since I need to upgrade my computer to run the Arturia software, I figure I should focus on learning synth and DAW until I figure out who much money I need to give to Apple. :stuck_out_tongue:

But if I have to wait 1 year for this sale again, I may just purchase now and download when I upgrade my CPU.

Well, y’all convinced me re: Waves.

The Puremagnetik and Tone Empire deals look more interesting to me

Down to 48 at least!

Thanks for the heads up!

Edit: I was watching for the sale, and I must say, it’s not that big of a discount from what was available, but I bought them anyways because they sound gorgeous.

I was waiting for a Serato black Friday but it looks like the offer is a reduced price subscription to studio rather than a license to sample.

O-blek is a stochastic sequencer with individual length options to offset and produce dynamic ever- changing patterns easily. By setting the probability at each step of which of 3 sequences are played from, combined with separate sequence lengths for velocity, octave shift, note length, gate, harmony and 2 set parameters the result is controlled chaos. Easily set parts of the sequence to be fixed, and other parts directed by probability.

I think I’m getting those as well. Thanks for mentioning them.

Syntorial looks fun.

Edit: I bought them. Damn this thread.

I loved their Berzerk distortion and J37 Tape but I lost both of them when they wanted me to pay to continue using them on M1. So Waves can get fucked.

What’s the difference with version 2? Should one wait for that before starting the tutorial?
