What do you mean by sequencer drift?
Sorry itās same way
Drif, direction capablity, whatever, this is it!
Please, can we have song mode or pattern chain save or something?
Have an octatrack for years now just got the digitakt
Iām shocked that you cant edit a sample or even simply zoom in a sample to find the right starting point - plock start point is a great feature and I donāt want to have to Resample all my loops.
Cmon Elektron!
Also why canāt I navigate folders with left and right arrow??? (Octatrack menu file) Instead to have to go all the way up to get out of a folder donāt understand the logic behind this.
Peace
You can use Func+Up to go directly to the top of the folder. The left and right arrows in folder browse mode are already dedicated to functions and it works quite well, but yeah going all the way up in a folder would be a slog if not for that quick shortcut. Give that a try, itās really fast!
I totally agree that it needs a way to preview the audio when p-locking a sample start point, makes it tedious when you have to wait for the loop to run all the way round in order to see if you got it right.
I didnāt know that about FUNC + Up. Does FUNC + Down get you to the last saved item too? Iām thinking about the Project menu/folder specifically here
Good question, Iām not sure, Iām headed to the manual now! Yeah Func+Up is extremely crucial!!! I misspoke slightly, it doesnāt take you directly to the top but it goes in huge jumps so when you hold that combo it gets you to the top extremely quickly.
edit: Manual has been consulted, looks like Func+Down does the same thing as up, moves the cursor in big jumps of exactly one page. Also, I was reminded that the Level/Data knobs rips through menu lists very quickly.
I learn something every day with these boxes. Thatās awesome. Thanks!
Seriously man, they are so jam-packed itās insane. I get into a workflow of doing things one way and forget that there are 2 or 3 other ways to go about it too!
Func + left or right will go Back and forth through folder directories.
Mind blown! Canāt believe I missed that, so useful. Thanks dude.
What the hell, I never knew of that.
Thanks makes thing easier for sure
You can navigate folders with func+left and func+right.
Edit: someone already said the exact same thing. Carry on! =D
Bandpass would be cool.
Notch/peak filter would also be great. I guess because thereās only one parameter, youād have to combine the depth and Q?
One workaround (I havenāt tried it yet, so caveat emptor) is using MIDI loopback (with a cable, RK-002 recommended), where you can mute/unmute MIDI tracks that send CC messages to your audio tracks that are properly timed based on trig location in the sequencer. So a mute or unmute CC message would be on the last step of the MIDI track, micro-timed to just before the end of that step (and pattern) so that the first note/bar of the next playback of the pattern is where you hear (or not hear) the first step of the audio track receiving the CC message.
You could also probably mute/unmute multiple audio tracks from a single MIDI track using this method.
Iām certain there are fiddly details to work out, and this is assuming you arenāt already using all your MIDI tracks for other things, but it could be worth exploring.
But ideally, we could get either internal MIDI loopback, mute/unmute timing settings, or both in an upcoming update.
internal loopback would be really sweet!
Being able to send one(or multiple) tracks trough the headphone output. Say you got some ambient kinda sounds on track 6 that you want to process through a reverb pedal, you could send track 6 through the headphone output instead of the main outs and process it externally. Kind of like an aux send through the headphone output!
And of course a native, internal midi loopback function would be reaally neat! All those wasted LFOs make me sad lol.
Somebody knows If will be there a new update for Digitakt? Lot of time since the last update and no still no filter bpfā¦
