Global audio tracks level please! Currently the audio tracks levels are saved by pattern. So it’s impossible to use a midi controller with faders to control the levels like a mixer since the level of tracks are reinitialized everytime pattern change. The volume parameter already exists in amp page to adjust the volume of each track in a pattern so it would make sense that the track level to be global.
I am just waiting for SY DONK
I think that It wouldn’t cannibalize sales of other series if Elektron would kindly add a super lo-fi and/or super short sample time sampling machine. Something similar to Machinedrum sampling… or like a 90 sampler ; ) that would be insanely cool in my opinion.
Parameter slides… it’s such an essential part of Elektron sequencers.
More than microtoming or trig conditions in my subjective opinion.
I feel like old users of Elektron are kind of left out from the party by taking this out; as most of us learned to program these machines using that feature.
Or users using old Elektrons, OT being the last survivor of that generation.:content
AFAIK Monomachine have the best slide implementation. I didn’t have it, but IIRC there is something like the possibility to have trigs of trigless during the slide).
Overdub for midi tracks.
Elektron have probably one of the worst sequencer in that concern. It even erase notes if one note is held too long. Live recording ? Be good at first pass, you can’t add notes safely after…
I still can’t believe it.
Scale quantization like on the octatrack and A4 please !!
Just read the manual section 4.7 GLOBAL FX/MIX
Add the setting “prelisten sounds on HP-out ONLY off/on” in the sounds menu.
(Default=off, to avoid user-confusion. By prelistening I mean FUNC+Yes in the sound-pool.)
Don’t know if the hardware even allows for that routing?, BUT:
It would be awesome to be able to do that in live-situations. When turned on it would enable the performing artist to browse and exchange sounds (in existing patterns) on the fly without the audience noticing that the performer is looking through the sound pool.
It would eliminate the need to prepare and practice “performance-tricks” like this in a super laid-out way, and EVEN BETTER: It would allow to transfer the general workflow of creating completely new and improvised beats on to the live stage.
I don’t think so. Headphones and Main levels are linked.
Too bad The non-possibility to route audio differently/seperately to the outputs really seems like a design “flaw”/oversight.
Only a few hours with my new Syntakt, but:
- Dry/wet level on the FX block (instead of only an on/off switch).
- Machinedrum-like machines
- Don’t know if it is even possible, but I miss a peak filter on the analog filter types list.
- Compressor, digitakt style (edit)
MD drumsynths and the possibility to route the LFO’s from one track to another.
Being able to render the FX track to the individual tracks for recording would be megatron!!!
Even better, I think there should be a dry/wet knob, or on off switch, for each individual page in the FX, or at least for the filter.
If you change the filter type, even if you have the frequency and resonance set to values that shouldn’t affect the sound with the new filter, there’s a quite audible click taking place. This makes it impossible to change the filter type while playing a pattern. Being able to turn the filter off altogether would be one solution (you could of course turn of the whole FX chain while changing, but then you would lose other things such as the drive).
one or more machines based on mutable instruments , please
a link for you Elektron : https://github.com/pichenettes/eurorack
Am I right in thinking that the individual analogue tracks have a peak filter but the FX block doesn’t? I’m not in front of mine now so I can’t check! I love the peak filter, can really add spice to a simple 2 oscillator patch.
I’d like to add a +1 for a compressor and a +1 for dual mono external input like the Digitakt.
And sorry to say it again but more machines please. The whole macro synth engine paradigm works a treat, so please keep more coming! Maybe more digital drum options? I never much liked the analogue drum engines on my old AR MK1, I think more interesting stuff can be done with digital.
It is already possible, I’ll add with individual settings.
Really?! On my DT there’s just a switch on the left of the page which I’m sure isn’t present on the ST. I guess I didn’t dig into the settings enough!
