I think they are referring to the ability to scrub between “slices” of a sample with an lfo, in a granular fashion. On the rytm you can modulate the start or end point with the single lfo, but in order to do the granular thing you have to be sharp with the velocity mod settings and use the lfo to modulate that. I’ve never done it very successfully but others seem to have better luck. I haven’t tried the note length technique to achieve that, perhaps someone else could chime in as to whether it’s possible

Sadly these things (and a few others) led to my eventual parting with the unit.
I’d really love stereo if we ever got a Rytm+.
I understand why the current Rytm (and honestly even a future one) don’t need stereo BUT the changes you mentioned + stereo sampling could have this be the main hub where I land all of my awesome stereo hardware.
It’s sooooo close to being what a modern MPC should have been, with the addition of all of the cool elektron stuff.

The Digitakt is 6 years old and they managed to give it a new lease of life with v1.50. It’s half the price of my AR, but I find myself using the DT more because it really has quite a lot I can do with it now. If the AR wants to continue to be the flagship for Elektron, I’m hoping they will release some sort of FW update to keep up with the DT, and more! Otherwise, why pay twice the price?

Honestly I could care less about new features on the AR, I just want them to fix this critical bug:
The response I received gave me much more convincing hope than the last similar comment posted not long ago re: firmware update.
I have zero negative feelings regarding lack of new features, but I do have a problem with seeing a constant flow of new development while known bugs aren’t being addressed (the one I mentioned above is by no means the only one)
Additionally, and I don’t think I’m contradicting myself, it would be really nice if they actually added the quantize option to retriggering as is printed in the manual.

8 analog synths, pads, performance macros, scenes, analog distortion, the noise-hell compressor, bigger box, kits, jump modes… per-track swing steps might not be on the Digis (I’m not sure about that one).

just would add to things that worth the price are individual outs, accent, trig mutes, slides, x2 CV IN
btw, not sure if it’s common knowledge but thanks to @pokk I’ve discovered that you can use the individual outs > CV ins, set up as Expression, getting crazy modulations with it! cool trick

I knew I missed some good ones.
I think we should keep in mind that nearly all of us here are talking from a perspective of really loving this machine, not from hating elektron or complaining about the AR.
My main feeling is similar to @philroyjenkins, the AR is so close to being the perfect beatmaking machine that it hurts sometimes 
. I did decide to stick with it because I love it and everytime I use another machine I start missing it. The sequencer, kits, scenes etc and especially the sound make it way better than the DT in my opinion.

I think we all should keep this in mind when posting 
And try to align with such feeling and go for the most constructive instead of going for the internet rant/old man yell at clouds scheme that makes a large part of the internet properly unbearable today.
It’s in such spirit that I’ve suggested to keep writing to feature-request@elektron.se:
- it forces to write what you want exactly, in terme of features (instead of yelling “we want updates ffs”)
- it shows Elektron the interest for this
- it makes them able to sort the features by most wanted
