Will they surprise us one of these coming wednesdays? Really hope so, but I keep getting disappointed so far.
I sense a tremor in the Force!!
I want a polysynth mode on Rytm - i can dial in a very nice Rhodes Wurlitzer tone but it’s fucking mono so no chords! Please make it happen genius folk at elektron!? Also sample waveform zoom would be nice and a dedicated mixer page and and and and….
Elektron users: The CPU is probably tapped out. No more updates.
Elektron: Here you go (releases an update with awesome new features).
Elektron users: The CPU is probably tapped out. No more updates.
Elektron: Wrong again (releases an update for the OG Octatrack with awesome new features).
Elektron users: The CPU is probably tapped out. No more updates.
Elektron: Y’all never learn…(releases update)
I love my Analog Rytm with or without updates.
Well it’s another Wednesday today, so who knows…
True. Since the Digitakt upgrade I’m waiting every week…
here the hope for new updates was given up. i could even imagine that elektorn would go one step further and remove the two boxes entirely from the range. before that, just crank up the price to sell the last dusty boxes and bye. and then it will only be produced cheaply and digitally. That’s what most people seem to want.
just sad.
At the moment I feel no urge to grab one at $1900 new with the hopes it gets a major update.
If they added:
-More LFOs per track
-More advanced sampling capabilities, including slicing, etc…
Then the RYTM would quickly jump to the top of my GAS list.
What’s sad, the hypothetical and unfounded speculation you posted?
Being sad about a lack of updates I kind of understand, but being sad about imaginary future business and manufacturing decisions feels a bit like looking too hard for something to be sad about.
sorry, but i don’t take this seriously. it was idle speculation. and even if it wasn’t really meant that seriously, if i think about it seriously now, it’s not unrealistic, it was the same with other machines. everything is ephemeral, that’s the way it is. please don’t take it so seriously.
in any case, I will never give my rytm and my a4 back - regardless of whether there is an update or not, unless it has to be.
peace
I beat the shit of the pads of my AR today and I was happy, sounded like shit but I was happy, not sad at all
update or not, AR is amazing instrument!
I’m not taking anything seriously.
I pretty much don’t take anything seriously.
You’ve got to admit, though, that you’re seriously not taking anything seriously.
I’m pretty hopeful. I filed a bug ticket for the direct jump feature not working correctly when you have scale settings other than 1x, which their support confirmed and mentioned would be “looked into for the next Analog Rytm MKII update”. Of course that’s not a 100% guarantee but again I’m hopeful.
Not meaning to diminish your faith but that bug has been on their “confirmed and will look into” since time immemorial.
But at least we know an update is coming! But, wait, did they actually only mention MKII?
That’s a direct quote, but of course the MK2 is the product I actually submitted the ticket for, so makes sense. I wouldn’t read anything else out of that.
if nothing else…Pattern Mutes for AR and A4. The absence of this is truly hobbling, and would bring the big boxes into feature parity with the newer boxes. It’s a no brainer, and I want to say shouldn’t break the DSP bank, relative to other requests (like more LFOS) but obv I can’t know this
well on AR Mk2 just another lfo would be already super nice.
that said i’m agree with you always waiting for update and compare to other devices make people a bit angry whereas the AR is already super nice like that.
I couldn’t wait so I sold it and will use my OP-Z for sampling instead
This is the third or fourth Rytm that’s I’ve gone through now and maybe the last
I think AR and A4 are done in terms of updates
Their effort is all on the Takt machines
