Me too.
Making itself at home as I recover from a nasty stomach virus, though that didn’t stop me from a test-drive.
I’m looking forward to getting stuck in once the malaise of illness clears.

I’m looking at the Chase Bliss Midibox to go between the OT and CB pedals.
So, I am going to have problems with CC sends in this config? Anyone with more
detail surrounding OT and CBA midi, please add your input! Thanks.

I was just listening to these two snippets again and weirdly, I think the USB noise kind of adds to vibe of the drums recording - I think it sounds ace. But who knows, mayb USB noise will be the next big thing in the world of lofi?

Lol, you might be proven right

Can you bypass it with the mk1 too? I can’t find information any about it.

You will have issues. It’s best to send OT through a hub. OT to CBA is best through a device that will repeat the midi messages.

Here’s the thread of me dealing with the issue several years ago.

I don’t know. Prolly not, knowing its quirky nature.

Good news… no extra fees

On the flip side, I had the Mood delivered to my local UPS drop off shop as I was at work, so I went to collect after work, and there was no sign of the parcel. Both I and the shop assistant were trying to work out where it was for ages, then we see that on the actual email delivery receipt it had been delivered to the Kelloggs factory which is on the biggest Industrial estate in Europe and 2 miles from my house WTF! I had to drive through security, into this massive factory complex and only by chance they found it. Apparently, the security guard told me this has happened a few times before with UPS packages being left on a loading bay, and being signed for by random people. What sort of dumb f**k does that? I’ve just tried to complain over the phone to UPS, but it was like talking to the wall. Anyhow, I’m just glad I have it.

MKII arrived today and my god the improvement in fidelity is absolutely out of this world, it is so good. Literally every little niggle I had with the original is fixed, I’m floored. When I first got the MKI I spent a year just recording dozens and dozens of hours of music with it and I have a feeling the same thing is going to happen again. The madmen really made the greatest pedal ever even better.

My mkII arrived yesterday, after a couple of hours playing with it (which I was really enjoying), the right channel just died, even when the pedal is disengaged. I tried different cables, the problem is within the pedal. This is the second time in a row that I have a problem with a CBA pedal I pre-order: when my Generation Loss mkII arrived the USB port was unaligned with the case of the pedal, in a way that you couldn’t connect the USB cable (in order to update the firmware). I had to open the pedal and play Tetris with the pbcs till it aligned. It seems to me their quality control is currently not at its finest, or maybe I just have bad luck. Does somebody else have had similar problems?

By the way I also tried the “synth mode” and while it is quite cool, the midi seems to work on a very temperamental way. Some notes latch and keep sounding sustained, some others don’t. I don’t have the feeling the mode is “bug free” or even reliable in that it constantly works as intended to.
I have a bit of a mixed feeling, on one side the pedal does a lot of interesting and unique things, on the other side I am afraid they tried to put so much stuff in there that some of the things are perhaps not completely “ironed out”. Which is a bit of a bummer, specially at this price point.

Damn, i just watched both tutorial videos from CB. Didn’t have gas for anything for over a year, but I definitely feel it for the new mood.

wee vid of me messing about with this on my lunch break.

fed it my broken old yamaha ps-20 including the cheesy auto-accompaniment drums to get that initial loop and then just messed with ‘stretch’ mode, reverb time and diffusion and played a couple of notes on top (horrible keys player sorry) but maybe nice to see simple audio manipulated with just little tweaks.

I didn’t make it past 4 minutes of the video manual for the Mood MkII. Chase Bliss needs to pick a new, somewhat larger format for their pedals - the interface on the MKII looks like a nightmare.

And I am saying this as a (mostly) happy Mood MKI owner.

It is named Mood, isn’t?

That’s lovely!!

Thanks @Ojo! The sounds of the two are really complementary and since I can’t really play keys figured it was a nice way to learn the pedal in a very slow and simple way. Gonna keep this pairing rolling until I get into ramping and the hidden functions, then it’s Digitone and MIDI time!

Is it possible to quantize/step the clock as on the MKI but using the MKII algorithm?

Or does enabling the MKI quantized clock switch it over to the MKI algorithm? Is it possible to swap between the two algorithms? (I know you can switch the clock behaviors).

I believe the mkii algorithm has the clock quantized by default. It has a “smooth” switch on the back when you don’t want it quantized.
