My 3rd concurrent Christmas in Poland.
Lots of fish and special Polish dishes last night on Christmas eve (the main event in Poland).
Today is the hearty meat n veg day.

For me, the absolutely best thing about central/eastern Europe is the way that meat is prepared/presented.
I still have dreams about some of the dinners I’ve had in Prague, Budapest and Krakow.
Now here’s a little picture of what I’m currently eating. Black pudding and French omelette stack on English Muffins with a Tabasco Hollandaise sauce.
My breakfast eats your breakfasts for breakfast.

Cliff Bar and coffee breakfast before heading into work to take care of the horses this Christmas morning. Just a half day, so a brisk afternoon Xmas walk with the dog then a tasty beer for dinner.

I’m not sure the pickled onions I’m currently eating are going to remedy the situation.

You should see the pool of butter and cheese oils at the bottom of the pan.
Instant heart attack! Tastes amazing though!

Deep dish is good. Smoked deep dish even better.
For Christmas we smoked I believe 17 pounds of brisket, or my neighbor is. Currently waiting for it to arrive any minute. Will add pictures.
