Syntakt, Digitakt, MiniFreak.
Those 3 would be more than enough for what I do. (Industrial, noise, dark wave? Whatever Daniel Deluxe is)
Although I’d be sad I couldn’t play drums.

Subtractive Mono Synth, like a Pro2 or Pro3
Alphabase or AR Mk2 for drums
AR doubles as sampling but a dedicated sampler like OT or MPC
Maybe a poly synth? Iridium, Take5, M
Honestly a great drum machine and excellent monitors in a treated room is all you “really” need!
No budget restrains:
- AR - For drums
- Octatrack - main sampler, mixer and sequencer
- Polybrute - my spaceship
Budget around 1500
- Digitakt - The answer is always Digitakt
- Hydrasynth Explorer - soundscape heaven
- SP404 mk2 - as a poor mans performance mixer and effectbox

it woud at least have one of the digi/syntakt for the seq ans awesomeness
edit thinking at it, if cash no problem, the 3 unit will be for me digitone keys, dirtywave m8, and sp 404 mk2. then ill add an old mackie onyx 820I.
thinking at it, that could be a path for me. already had the m8… onyx cheap now…

I know it’s got a simple drum machine built-in but isn’t the tx-6 a bit of a weird choice if there’s only one other instrument (op-1f) to mix?

because all gear is just weaker than, say, Drambo when it comes to arrangement (contrary to noodling with N-bar loops).

Why? These are only the first 3. The tx-6. Gives the opportunity to get more in the future 
And the tx-6 is an instrument on its own. I love to play sequence the 6 sine oscillators.
