If you were starting from scratch what would be your first 3 pieces of gear

Very tough…

  • Digitakt

  • SP404mk2

OT

It’s the expensive evolution of my current setup (evolver desktop, analog keys, ot)

Korg Prologue
TR-8S
MPC-X

SP-404mkII
DSI Tempest
Arturia Microfreak

(add a Polyend Play, Roland MC-101, and 60hp of Eurorack and this is my current setup.)

Hmm… I would do M8, Waldorf M and System Coupe. Digitakt vs M8 is kind of a toss up for me though.

You could give it a go with the behringers?

I could simulate that experience in software right now with 101 & 303 vst’s and Renoise loaded with 808 samples. Not the same, but the limitations of that feel quite inspiring at the moment… although I’d definitely be tempted to cheat with lots of effects and automations

Virus Ti2: 16part multi timbral, huge library, any sound, nice effects

Octatrack: drum + sampling + midi (sequence Virus) + performance + looping

Eventide H9 Max pedal: best all round FX box with huge library + looping

SH-101, Macbook & Interface plus an internet-shielded house to avoid wasting time on gear forums. :stuck_out_tongue:

Laptop, audio I/o & controller keyboard.

Shoot, I should have said The Almighty Dark Trinity then, because I was indeed referring to OT AR (mk2 please) and A4 (also mk2, pretty please).

Isnt the Roland 500m thats available based on the 100m? Seems logical to get that one as its new and less likely to have issues.

But it’s eurorack size, with cramped interface and fiddly controls

Some of us do well with tiny interfaces
