I can’t find anything about slice mod or automation in the updated manual. Some OT style slice modulation would be amazing though, if I can get my hopes up.
When you’ve sliced a sample and you put it under a pad in a drum program you could already select if you want to play the whole sample or a specific slice number.
That parameter is now automatable/recordable.

I had the same issue trying to load the Fabric demo. It seems like it wouldn’t install correctly a couple times, then it did. I guess it must be traffic.

This might be a silly question, but after getting my sp404 and realizing how easy it is to sample stuff into it I was wondering if the MPC live ii can sample direct from the computer via usb. Or to sample off my computer do I have to have it going out my audio interface and into the 1/4" jacks on the mpc?

Man, the SP404 is such a weird combination of power and limitations. Weird to wish the mpc had some of its features lol.
Always felt SP404 was a very very glorified sample bank and nothing much.

OPx4 for sure, definitely stabs head and shoulders above the others.
Fabric is not bad, just not my type of sound/synthesis.
Very cool, I missed that part. So it is kinda octatrackie, hopefully they’ll add that as an LFO destination someday.

I’m definitely not the only one with the clicking/popping issue.
I’m starting to wonder if it’s model specific somehow, or most people are just listening through the Live 2 speaker or something? I’d imagine I’d see way more people complaining about it otherwise surely. Or maybe no one’s really been doing any choke groups or mono sounds in the last couple days haha.
what model do you have?
OG Live, someone on mpc-forums is saying they’re on OG Live too and not having the problem though, apparently. So strange. The only other thing I could think of is I moved 3 Akai expansions out of the internal drive, so they don’t show up in expansions, but I don’t see how that would affect it, especially since it’s not doing it at all on 2.10
hmm think I’ll hold off a bit until certain… otherwise though the update looks great, all i care about is those small sequencer and workflow additions
