Novation Circuit Rhythm and Circuit Tracks

Looks like they put it again online:

No sign of Rhythm though. And sadly no mention to usb audio.

$500 USD for this feature set…

What has me curious about this device is just how prolific the previous circuit is. It seems like everyone has one or had one at some point in time. There must be something about the workflow of using it that made it resonate with so many people.

I will definitely be tuning in for the reveal. Hopefully that includes a specific launch date?

When I had one I ended up just using it as a midi controller as the synth sounded a bit crap. So I sold it in the end. They say it has been refined so I think I’ll wait to hear some audio demos before I consider this one.

Seems pretty likely they’re only announcing the one tomorrow. It would be nice to see them both roll out at once, but I don’t get the feeling it’s going to happen. Unless there was a leaked video for the Rhythm, too?

I will wait to see the detailed features before to make my decisions.

An important aspect is the Novation components software, which potentially can give the opportunity to the user to personalize the workflow as he can do with the Novation’s Launchpad Pro MK3 workflow, and the other Novation’s controllers. We don’t know if this will work with the new Circuit.

And it would be nice additionally the user to be able to map accurately (from the components software) not only the pads but and the knobs as well, to use the Circuit as a controller with other grooveboxes! You can use the Circuit to drive your Digitone, Digitakt, Model: Cycles and Model: Samples, your MC 101 and so on.

So, yea in this case only this feature alone worth the purchase, regardless of its standalone aspect.

We will see…

It’s 2021, I am expecting audio over usb and hopefully in separated tracks so you could record your jam into a DAW properly.

I wish I didn’t hate rgb pads. Had Circuit before and the combination of red, magenta and green LEDs made me not wanting to use it

I actually love the aesthetic

How does that work when you have several pieces of gear? Like a couple of Roland products, A Model:cycles/samples. And a couple of analog synths that need to be connected via an audio interface?

I have always felt that audio over usb is the sure sign of a low end consumer product.

it works pretty fine, although I get a slight lag when using audio over usb on model:cycles. I didn’t mess too much with the drivers though so maybe that’s fixable.
if you wanna record everything at once and do some live changes, you would probably still want to have an audio interface with couple of channels and record everything from there.
but taking into account that new circuit is advertised as a one-stop-shop, I would expect it to have this. however they still want to sell focusrite interfaces, so its not a guarantee…

That’s how I imagine using it.

Microfreak and Nord Drum 3P with Tracks will be a fun little setup.

Link not working…

I think these 2 links will be the landing pages of the circuit rhythm / tracks. At the moment there’s an “You’re not authorized to view this page” error, which is a different error than the normal “This page doesn’t exist” error

So keep on F5’ing the next hours

They even praise the things it doesn’t have as features. The marketing on this is just so bad.

the reveal will be at 4 PM GMT, it was stated on their instagram

Novation will reveal and the Rhythm, it is confirmed. Awesome!!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Pretty sure there won’t be audio over USB as they sell audio interfaces as well.

A bit of a letdown if it’s missing, but let’s not forget what you get for a somewhat entry level price: a super cool poly sequencer, a simple but effective sample player, two poly digi synths, effects, a small mixer (audio inputs), nice pads, a device that you can use as a nice midi controler… Not too bad!

Pretty sure there won’t be a Synth engine in it as they sell Synths as well…

just kidding… but like others said, kind of unnecessary to complain about things you don’t know

I wanna know if it can handle multi sampling but since it wasn’t in the feature list I guess it wont. Guess the Blackbox has that one covered.

Will it do sampling at all, or just playback?
